Beginning of Turquoise
Turquoise made its debut around this time. First in cars then in lots of things. In 1961 K Mart's new logo featured turquoise. Tile became turquoise, basement walls, formerly yellow, were painted turquoise, aluminum awnings were often turquoise, and there were many cars by 1960 that came in turquoise - not just a few.
That '58 Impala didn't sell anywhere near as many cars as the 1957 Bel Air did. Of course, 1958 was a recession year and auto workers in particular were laid off for months.
No sound - not ratable.
